In need of help

Question:

Becky I cannot offer much advice about how to improve your husbands reading and writting.  The way I improved my reading was just by finding a type of book I enjoyed and reading and reading I now love to read but only if the book realy gets my attention.  As for writing it is still not very good but I use computers a lot:) What else can I say other than encorage and support him it is a long up hill strugle.    Hello everyone,    I am looking for some help for my husband,he is 28yrs old and has been dyslexic from childhood.Unfortunatey,he tried to hide his problems and spent most of his school years misbehaving, which he now deeply regrets as his reading and writing are very poor.    As we now have a son he feels it has become important for him to learn both the afore mentioned,so we would like helpadvice about the best ways of going about this,we live in Shropshire,England.     I should mention he is very reticent about going to college as he feels embarressed and is scared of looking stupid!      All advice would be grately appreciated         Thanks for listening,            Becky Share what you know. Hi Becky, I taught my son to read using an explicit, systematic, multisensory phonics program designed for grade 3 to adult.  If you are interested you can email me.  Best wishes.  Angela. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text –   Hello everyone,   I am looking for some help for my husband,he is 28yrs old and has been dyslexic from childhood.Unfortunatey,he tried to hide his problems and spent most of his school years misbehaving, which he now deeply regrets as his reading and writing are very poor.
