apologise. Sorry to say it Ann, but I think, all these are misrepresentation. I don`t know the real reason of your leaving, but the above are not. Some time ago, you picked up your duvet when there were insults. Now I think, you are doing the same thing, only with a different story. But in my opinion, the world and our daily figth is much harder then the discussions in this group. Don`t hide if times are rough, whatever the reason may be. See you around somewhere. Greetings Jack Herbert

Well – as this is the last posting I shall ever make to this ng. I thought I would leave you with a little something (see below). You don’t know what relief it gave me to finally decide to unsubscribe from this ng. Some support group eh. Anyway here it is: How doth the little crocodile Improve his shining tail, And pour the waters of the Nile On every golden scale! How cheerfully he seems to grin, How neatly spreads his claws, And welcomes little fishes in With gently smiling jaws! Good morning, good afternoon, good evening and goodnight! Yours – very unsupported Ann

^ Well – as this is the last posting I shall ever make to this ng. I wish you hadn’t decided that way. It looks like you will continue reading this group so hopefully you will someday return. At least you can comment on my humor below. ^ Yours – very unsupported I knew you were into women’s lib! Regards, Frank

FWIW, I went back to dejanews and checked my posts, I never said that this group was not really for children and parents – my post on 10/26 was: Again, even though I think that all who are interested in the subject of dyslexia should be welcome here, I really think the purpose of this newsgroup is to provide a support network for adults who are themselves dyslexic — after all, where else would they go?
I notice that I said ‘I think’ before each clause. On 10/25 I had posted a comment that said This is NOT really supposed to be a support group just for moms of dyslexic children, it is supposed to be more general than that.
(This in response to what I saw as name-calling because of expressing the apparently unpopular opinion that dyslexia is more than just a reading disability). I am sorry that anyone would feel they need to leave because of something I said, but I am even more sorry that a request to people to be sensitive and refrain from name-calling is seen as setting such an impossible barrier that the person needs to leave the group. I participate in other forums and mailing lists, and don’t see this problem anywhere else….. -Abigail
